Rosetta Janet

[JAN. 8, 2007]  Rosetta A. Janet, 88, of Lincoln died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at 4:55 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Christian Church, with Tim Searby officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Janet was employed at Lehner's Greenhouse and Flower Shop for 25 years.

She was born Aug. 5, 1918, in Lincoln to Hugh and Katherine Brannon Redfairn. She married George Janet on Sept. 12, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1983.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (and David) Goldhammer of Lincoln; two sons, George (and Clara) Janet of Lincoln and Lenny (and Tawnya) Janet of Lincoln; and eight grandchildren, Matthew Janet, Michelle Spellman, Mandy Janet Barb, Amy Janet, Eric Goldhammer, David S. Goldhammer, Julie Trimpe and Elizabeth Meyrick; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to her church or to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
