The term REALTOR has come to connote competency, fairness and high integrity resulting from adherence to the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics sets forth standards of conduct and professional integrity that are the hallmark of the Illinois Association of REALTORS and what sets apart REALTORS from other real estate professionals. The Code of Ethics imposes duties above and beyond those imposed by law or regulation and applies only to real estate professionals who choose to become REALTORS.
