Billy Duncan

[JAN. 26, 2007]  Billy Dwight Duncan, 69, of Lincoln died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at 4:25 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, 620 Pulaski St. His funeral will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rick Ball officiating.

Mr. Duncan worked at Lincoln Development Center and as a plumber at Modern Plumbing and Heating in Mount Pulaski.

He was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Harrisburg to Peter Andrew and Carrie Elizabeth Gibbs Duncan. He married Bonnie Tarleton and she preceded him in death. He married Patricia Palmer-Howerton in 1988 in Marshall, Minn.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, B. David Duncan of Harrison, Ark., Brian Duncan of Lincoln and Eric Duncan of California; two stepsons, Richard (and Lori) Howerton of Normal and Daniel (and Brenda) Howerton of Bloomington; four daughters, Kim (and Rick) Ball of Chickamauga, Ga., Stephanie (and Bob) Presswood of Xenia, Kan., Lara (and Randall) McElroy of Decatur and Penny Little of Terre Haute, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Rayann Earley of Ste. Marie, Betina (and Carlos) Bryant of Bloomington and Belinda Howerton-Duncan of Springfield; two brothers, Everett Duncan of Harrisburg and Alva (and Annie) Duncan of Anna; three sisters, Evadine Duncan of Eldorado, Rosalee Davis of Shawneetown and Alma (and Robert) Young of Eldorado; 53 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Imogene and Delphine; a brother, Noble, and two infant brothers; twin granddaughters; one stepson; and one stepgrandson.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the family.
