Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: We at Central Illinois Economic Development Corp.
would like to take this opportunity to thank the Parish Nurses of
Logan County. Through their generous donation we are able to
purchase fans to distribute to the families and individuals in need
in Logan County. This is truly a much appreciated and needed gift
for the community. For those families and/or individuals who could
benefit having a new fan, please call 217-732-2159.
CIEDC is a not-for-profit organization serving Logan, Mason,
Menard, Piatt, DeWitt and Fulton counties. Some of the programs
available are homemakers, transportation, senior meals, Head Start,
LIHEAP and weatherization.
Sincerely,
Kelly Comerford
LIHEAP assistant coordinator
