Leona Frances Buchholz, 87, of Lincoln
died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 10:15 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the
funeral home. |
Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Mrs. Buchholz
retired from Lehn & Fink, where she had worked on
the production line. She also worked in area grocery
stores as a food demonstrator.
She was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Lincoln to Louis
and Hallie McManus Wilmert. She married Raymond
Jones, and he preceded her in death. She married
Richard Edward Buchholz on June, 11, 1964, in
Lincoln, and he preceded her in death on April 14,
2007.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry (and Mary)
Jones of Lincoln and Lawrence Beals of Florida; two
daughters, Carolyn Peterson of Sherryville, Ind.,
and Shirley (and Jim) Davis of Lincoln; one brother,
Louis Wilmert of Monticello; eight grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Darwin
Eugene, and two daughters, Beverly Ann Shanle and
Leona Frances Jones. |
She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and game shows.
Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse
Association Hospice.
