Cross Brothers Implement in Bronco tournament

[June 04, 2007]  Cross Brothers Implement, Mount Pulaski, won the Bronco Division of the Lincoln Pony Association softball tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Game 1 -- vs. State Bank of Lincoln

Cross Brothers Implement won 10-4. Samantha Fanning was the winning pitcher, allowing only two hits with one strikeout for Lincoln. Rachel Durchholz, Cady Lowery, and Samantha Fanning all had doubles. While Karilyn Walsh, Taylor Anderson, Rachel Durchholz, Cady Lowery, Hannah Skaggs, Gracie Tierney, and Alexandra Conley all had singles for Mount Pulaski. Rachel Durchholz, Cady Lowery, Samantha Fanning, Alexis Bowels and Gracie Tierney all had stolen bases.

For State Bank of Lincoln, Meghan took the pitching loss, allowing nine hits and one strikeout. Shelby and Malurie recorded hits for State Bank of Lincoln. Jack, Shelby and Emily all had stolen bases.

Game 2 -- vs. Mason City

Cross Brothers Implement won 14-8. Taylor Anderson was the winning pitcher, allowing only three hits with three strikeouts for Mason City. Karilyn Walsh, Taylor Anderson, Rachel Durchholz, Cady Lowery, Samantha Fanning, Alexandra Conley, Alexis Bowles and Emily Johnston all had hits for Cross Brothers Implement. Rachel Durchholz, Cady Lowery, Samantha Fanning, Alexandra Conley and Emily Johnston all had stolen bases.

For Mason City, K.C. and Jenna had hits. K.C., Dalby and Molly all had stolen bases.

Game 3 -- vs. Clinton

Cross Brothers Implement won 10-2. Taylor Anderson and Samantha Fanning shared the win for Mount Pulaski, together allowing three hits and three strikeouts for Clinton. Taylor Anderson, Rachel Durchholz, Samantha Fanning, Alexis Bowles and Gracie Tierney all had hits for Cross Brothers Implement. Hannah Skaggs, Taylor Anderson, Cady Lowery, Alexis Bowles, Alexandra Conley, Gracie Tierney all had stolen bases for Mount Pulaski.

For Clinton, Taelor stuck out four Mount Pulaski girls. Meghan, Taelor and Hannah all had hits for Clinton.

Cross Brothers Implement record: 3-0
