Heat keep bats going          Send a link to a friend

[June 11, 2007]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln Heat Bronco team won both games of a doubleheader with the McLean County Vipers.

Max Cook went the distance in the first game, giving up no earned runs. The leading hitters in the first game were Collin Antoine, who went 2-3 with two RBIs, and Ryan Sloan, who went 3-3 with two RBIs. The Heat won the first game 11-1.

Will Podbelsek threw a four-inning no-hitter in the second game, striking out three along the way. Leading hitters for the Heat included Cody Heidbreder going 4-4, Tate Gordon going 3-3 and Tyler Horchem going 2-2. The Heat triumphed in a 16-0 victory.

Next game was Sunday at 1 p.m. in Bloomington at the Pony Complex versus the McLean County Knights.
