Heat win doubleheader          Send a link to a friend

[June 12, 2007]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln Heat Bronco team played the McLean County Knights on Sunday.

Tate Gordon started for the Heat and was later relieved by Ryan Sloan. Ryan Sloan was the winning pitcher and Brent Hunsley got the save as the Heat won the first game 8-7.

Brent Hunsley went 3-4 in the game, and Tyler Horchem and Cody Heidbreder each were 2-3.

Colby Leith started on the hill for the Heat in the second game and was the winning pitcher. He went the distance, striking out one along the way.

Max Cook went 3-4 and Will Podbelsek went 2-4 as the Heat went on to win the second game 8-2.

The Heat will be in a tournament in East Peoria starting on Tuesday and will continue through the remainder of the week.
