Ruth Lowe

[June 13, 2007]  Ruth Anita Lowe, 74, of Lincoln died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Heritage Manor East, Beardstown.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lawndale Cemetery.

There is no visitation.

Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Lowe was a homemaker.

She was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Clinton to Elmer and Mae Taylor. She married Marlon James Lowe, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2001, after more than 50 years of marriage.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Daniels of Middletown and Jaqueline Kelly of Naples, Fla.; two sons, Robert "Bob" Lowe of Middletown and Marlon James "Birdman" Lowe of Middletown; one sister, Pearl Gaffern of Decatur; four brothers, Harold Taylor of Palestine, Owen Taylor of Bloomington, Lawrence Taylor of Clinton and Squeak Taylor of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Angie Gill; one great-granddaughter, Taylor; two brothers, Leroy Taylor and Willy Taylor; and one sister, Dorothy Estes.

Memorials may be made to Middletown Fire and Rescue Squad.
