[June 13, 2007]  EAST PEORIA -- The Lincoln Heat played Washington in the opening round of a tournament at East Peoria and won 13-6.

Brent Hunsley took the mound for the Heat and pitched the first four innings before being relieved by Ryan Sloan.

Good defense and plenty of run support played favorably for the Heat. Will Podbelsek went 4-4, Cody Heidbreder went 3-4, Max Cook had a double and three RBIs, Ryan Sloan went 2-3, and Mason Madigan went 1-1 with a double and an RBI.

The next scheduled game for the Heat will be Thursday at 4:30.
