[June 14, 2007]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski (4-1) defeated State Bank of Lincoln 21-15 in softball at Mount Pulaski on Wednesday night.

Taylor Anderson (2-0) recorded the win for Mount Pulaski, allowing five hits and three strikeouts.

Mount Pulaski started the game off with an infield home run by Samantha Fanning, who also had another hit in the game.

For Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski:

  • Taylor Anderson had two hits, two RBIs, three stolen bases.

  • Cady Lowery was walked four times and recorded two stolen bases.

  • Rachel Durcholz had three singles, matching RBIs and two stolen bases.

  • Emily Johnston had three hits with two RBIs and stolen bases.

  • Gracie Tierney recorded a single and one RBI.

  • Madison Chandler was walked twice.

  • Alexis Bowles had three hits.

  • Alexandria Conley had one base hit.

  • Emma Stewart was walked twice with three stolen bases.

  • Hannah Skaggs recorded a double and two RBIs.

For State Bank of Lincoln:

  • Molly, Maggie, Emily, Meghan and Maddie all had hits.

  • Emily recorded a double in the third inning.

  • Jackie had a triple in the third inning.

  • Malorie had a triple in the fourth inning.

Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski will host Mason City on Friday at 6 p.m. for a doubleheader at Mount Pulaski.
