Lincoln tops Ottawa to advance to sectional final

[March 07, 2007]  OTTAWA -- The Lincoln Railers topped Ottawa 42-32 on the Pirates' home court in the sectional semifinal on Tuesday night.

Lincoln trailed 19-15 at the half but came back in the third to lead 28-26 and then held Ottawa to just six points in the fourth quarter to pull out a victory.

Lincoln was led by senior Matt Schick with 12 points, closely followed by Brandon Farmer with 11 for the Railers.

Wednesday's sectional game is between Bloomington and Champaign Central, and Lincoln will play the winner on Friday night at 7:30 in Ottawa.

In the 3-point showdown, Louie Schonauer advanced with nine 3-pointers made to lead all shooters. Alex Anderson advanced with seven 3s made, and Caleb Sutton advanced with six 3s made.
