Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: I again would like to thank the voters of Ward 5
for their support and their confidence throughout this campaign. I
also give special thanks to those who helped volunteer their time
and helped encourage the people to vote. I look forward to working
with the members of the city council to resolve the tough issues we
are going to be facing, mainly the recent issue of the Lincoln
Police Department.
Thank you again for your votes,
Jeff Hoinacki
Alderman-elect
