FSIA meets Tuesday          Send a link to a friend

[March 22, 2007]  The last FSIA meeting before planting season will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Logan County Farm Bureau, 120 S. McLean St. in Lincoln.

At the meeting the group will review recent FSIA events and develop strategy for:
  • University of Illinois "Fair Farm Management" campaign

FSIA leadership testified at the latest meeting of the university trustees. Next is a crucial meeting in Logan County with the university's chief financial officer. We need to prepare for this public meeting and work out ways tell the story to others about the harm the university's farm management policies are doing to our communities.

  • FSIA Family Farm and Community Loan rollout

Low-interest loans for local family farmers are now available from a participating local bank. Now we need to get the message out about the best farm loan deal in Illinois.

See you Tuesday.
