His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Home, with
the Rev. Robert Henderson officiating. Visitation
will be one hour prior to the service. Burial,
with military rites, will be in New Union Cemetery.
Mr. Swingle was a retired laborer from Pittsburg
Plate Glass.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Lincoln to Clyde
and Alma Westerman Swingle. He married Alice Jean
McCoy on March 9, 1956, in Lincoln. She preceded him
in death Dec. 23, 1987.
He is survived by one brother, Vernon (and Rosie)
Swingle of Lincoln; one sister, Dorothy Bartels of
Lincoln; and nieces and nephews
He was also preceded in death by one son, Terry;
one sister; and eight brothers.
