Presenters for this program are Brigitte Franzen, CFP, CDFA,
registered representative, affiliated with AXA Advisors, LLC,
Springfield; Mary Christine Ludwig, attorney at law, affiliated
with Robert Dodd & Associates, P.C., Champaign; Linda Doornbos,
CLU, ChFC, State Farm, Decatur; and Ruth Hambleton, University
of Illinois Extension educator, farm business management and
marketing. All presenters have served as instructors for Annie's
Project -- Education for Farm Women, and all have extensive farm
backgrounds and practical experiences with this program.
The program will end with a panel of three women in various
stages of planning and execution, sharing their experiences and
advice.
Since 2003, Hambleton has offered educational classes and
informational meetings over a broad range of topics for Illinois
farm women. "Retirement and Estate Planning for Farm Women" is a
program born out of previous Annie's Projects and designed
especially for the issues that most affect women. Hambleton
notes that women are more open with their questions and concerns
when the focus is on them. "We first educate the women in ways
that are most effective for them, and in turn they take
information into their homes to deal with their individual
situations," she said. "We then offer programs for all family
members at later times in the year."
Registration fee for "Retirement and Estate Planning for Farm
Women" is $25 and includes breaks, lunch, and all printed and
