Gertrude Wilson

[May 17, 2007]  ATLANTA -- Gertrude Keturah Wilson, 93, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 7:04 a.m. at her home in Atlanta.

Mrs. Wilson's funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Atlanta United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Anderson officiating.

Visitation at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson was employed at the Christian Nursing Home in Lincoln from 1968 to 1988 as a nurse's aide.

She was born Jan. 30, 1914, in Fort Washington, Pa., to Frederick William and Elisabeth Wilkins Evans Stout. She married Fordham Dana Wilson on Sept. 15, 1937, in Jenkintown, Pa. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 1979.

She is survived by a daughter, Marjory (and George) Dyer of Atlanta; a son, Charles Herbert Wilson of Cloverdale, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Hugh Edward Wilson; four brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church and enjoyed the Goodwill Builders Sunday school class.

She was a graduate of Ambler High School in Ambler, Pa.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Atlanta United Methodist Church.
