Grains, soybeans drop          Send a link to a friend

[May 23, 2007]  CHICAGO -- Grain and soybean futures retreated Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 8.5 cents to $4.71 a bushel; July corn fell 11.5 cents to $3.69.5 a bushel; July oats fell 2 cents to $2.69.25 a bushel; July soybeans fell 7.25 cents to $7.93.25 a bushel.

Beef futures ended mostly lower and pork futures also declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 1.10 cents to 92.5 cents a pound; August feeder cattle finished unchanged at $1.137 a pound; June lean hogs fell 0.67 cent to 74.65 cents a pound; July pork bellies fell 1.48 cent to $1.0172 a pound.
