            		ATLANTA -- Harold R. Meserole, 63, of 
			Atlanta died Monday, May 28, 2007, at 6:36 a.m. at St. John's 
			Hospital in Springfield.  
			Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
			Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at 
			the funeral home, with Maurice Stribling officiating. | 
						
							| Burial, with military rites, will be in Atlanta 
							Cemetery. Mr. Meserole was retired from Ball-Incon 
							in Lincoln, where he repaired machines. He served in the U.S. Army from April 19, 1965, 
							to April 17, 1971, as a Specialist 5 in the 4th 
							Armor Division, where he received the Commendation 
							Medal. He was born Aug. 12, 1943, at Warrensburg to 
							Theodore and Elva Cravens Meserole. He married Janet 
							Steinhauer on Aug. 12, 1968, and she preceded him in 
							death in 1991. He married Donna Woodard on May 2, 
							2005. She survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Cindy (and 
							Bob) Dunovsky of Lincoln and Kimberly (and Brian) 
							O'Donohue of Lincoln; two sons, Travis (and Patty) 
							Meserole of Normal and Kevin Meserole of Orlando, 
							Fla.; three stepsons, Eric (and Tammy) Curry of 
							Lincoln, Craig (and Shelly) Shawgo of Lincoln and 
							Dean (Jennifer) Stewart of Pawnee; three brothers, 
							Theodore (and Donna) Meserole Jr. of Bath, Roy (and 
							Winnie) Meserole of Clinton and Sandy (and Pam) 
							Meserole of Pekin; one sister, Shirley Meserole of 
							Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and seven 
							step-grandchildren.  | 
                    
       
							He was also preceded in death by his parents and one 
							brother, Arland Meserole. He was of the Christian faith. He loved fishing the Illinois River and at 
							Patterson Bay, where he had a second home. He was 
							also a great woods craftsman and enjoyed spending 
							time with his family. Memorials may be made to Atlanta Fire and Rescue.
