Postal carriers and community thanked for recent food drive Send a link to a friend
To the editor: Central Illinois Economic Development Corp. -- Community Action would like to thank the Lincoln post office and postal carriers for all the food that was collected and donated to us on Saturday, May 12. It helped tremendously in stocking the food pantry, which in turn assisted us in feeding the many low-income individuals we serve. CIEDC's food pantry is open daily Monday through Friday, so we see a vast majority of needy individuals on an ongoing basis throughout the year. This large donation of food helps us greatly. Also, we'd like to give a special thanks to the concerned community members who donated this food.
