Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln
Christian Church, with visitation one hour prior to
the service in the sanctuary. Burial will be in
Zion Cemetery.
Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
Mrs. Klockenga retired from the state of Illinois
after many years of service as an office worker.
She was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Kentucky to
Harrison and Bertha Payton Cook. She married Nanke
Klockenga. He preceded her in death in April of
2003.
She is survived by her nephew and caregiver,
Eldon Hertzfeldt of Chestnut, and several other
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Era
Hertzfeldt, and a nephew, Larry Hertzfeldt. She was
the last of her immediate family. |
Mrs. Klockenga was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church and attended the Jolly Seniors on occasion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
Lincoln Christian Church.
