[November 23, 2007]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Virginia Lynne Baylis, 60, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at 8:30 p.m. at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski, with Father Thomas Shaw officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mrs. Baylis was manager of administration of domestic sales for Federal Express in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born May 6, 1947, in Lincoln to Roman and Dorothy Davis Romer. She married Stephen Baylis in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Nov. 6, 1971. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1993.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew (and Gillian) Baylis of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jason Baylis of Cincinnati; six brothers, Thomas (Marietta) Romer of Mount Pulaski, Roman J. Romer of Springfield, Robert L. (and Darlene) Romer of Decatur, Steven P. Romer of Dillon, Colo., Richard F. (and Barbara) Romer of Springfield and Joseph David (and Emily) Romer of Golden, Colo.; and one sister, Joan (and Forrest) Suycott of Macomb.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the donor's choice.
