Mary Sielaff

[November 23, 2007]  Mary E. Sielaff, 87, of Lincoln died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at 2:09 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Sielaff was a retired registered nurse. She had worked at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, St. Clara's Manor and the Christian Village.

She was born April 2, 1920, in Latham to David and Elizabeth Brown Schofield. She married Albert Sielaff on Dec. 27, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2001.

She is survived by two sons, David (and Sara) Sielaff of Lincoln and Dr. Don (and Jan) Sielaff of Lincoln, and two grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Gornick. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Deaconess Nurses Association.

She graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing.

Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Christian Education Fund or CIEDC Transportation.
