Minier Octoberfest Oct. 27          Send a link to a friend

[October 23, 2007]  MINIER -- Oom-pah-pah, oom-pah-pah… The German Band from the Bloomington Normal Community Band is striking up the Bavarian tunes to welcome visitors to Minier's Octoberfest on Oct. 27. Don't miss a minute of the fun, food, spirits and entertainment in the heart of Minier's business district. Events start at 4 p.m. and run until 11 p.m.

Octoberfest is a new event for the community and is sponsored by the Minier Economic Development Council.

From to 4 to 7 p.m., Main Street in Minier will feature a cruise-in and shopping at local stores -- Village Flowers and Hometown Variety. For more information on the cruise-in, contact Rob Grass at 309-392-2077.

The Alpine Village restaurant will offer a sumptuous German buffet featuring brats, schnitzel and rouladen, plus many German side dishes and salad bar. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy these tantalizing German specialties.

Music will fill the night air, starting with the German Band and followed at 7:30 p.m. by Hip Pocket, the best rhythm and blues band in central Illinois.
