Illini Basketball Tickets Flying Out the Door

[October 30, 2007]  CHAMPAIGN -- After the first day of single-game sales for men's basketball tickets, Fighting Illini fans are closing in on selling out the entire season. The Illini open the 2007-08 season with a streak of 45 consecutive sellouts, and the regular-season opener against Northeastern is closing in on that status very quickly. The two exhibition games against Quincy and Kentucky Wesleyan each have around 450 tickets remaining. Tickets remaining for regular-season games as of 3:30 p.m. Monday were as follows:

  • Northeastern, 50

  • Weber State, 30

  • Western Carolina, 1,550

  • Miami Ohio, 975

  • Loyola-Maryland, 400

  • Tennessee State, 90

Tickets available for these games are $22 each and can be purchased in person at the UI Athletics Ticket Office at the Assembly Hall, online at www.fightingillini.com or by phone at 217-333-3470 or 866-ILLINI-1.

Tickets for the United Center Lexus December to Remember Classic doubleheader in Chicago on Dec. 8, featuring the men's game versus Arizona and the women's game against Chicago State, are currently available through Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster online. Tickets for Dec. 8 cost $25 each.
