Dorothy M. Norris, 86, of Lincoln died
Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at 3:01 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Thursday at Peasley Funeral
Home. Prior to the visitation, the rosary will be recited at 3:45
p.m. |

A funeral Mass for Mrs. Norris will be at 9 a.m.
Friday at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the
Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Burial will be in
Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Norris worked at Stetson’s China Factory and
later for Saint-Gobain in Lincoln.
She was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Lincoln to Charles
Raymond and Margueritte Mary Shalla Jacobs. She
married Joseph L. Norris on June 3, 1940, in St.
Louis. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1990, in
Lincoln
She is survived by two sons, Gerald (and Vickie)
Norris of Lincoln and Eugene E. (and Jeannie) Norris
of Chestnut; one sister, Marie Allen of Lincoln; six
grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers,
William Edward Jacobs and Richard Paul Jacobs. |
She was a member of Holy Family Church.
Memorials may be made to her church or the
American Cancer Society.
