Earl Coombs

[September, 20, 2007]  Earl W. Coombs, 63, of Rockaway Beach, Mo., a Lincoln native, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Mo.

His body was cremated. There will be no visitation or funeral.

Mr. Coombs served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa and Vietnam.

He was born June 28, 1944, in Lincoln to William J. and Bertha H. Rodgers Coombs.

He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (and Randy) Harris of Montesano, Wash.; four brothers, Walter Coombs of Fullerton, Calif., George (and Dorothy) Coombs of Hurst, Texas, Robert (and Maxine) Coombs of Lincoln and John (and Carol) Coombs of Lincoln; four sisters, Betty (and Bob) Washam of Lincoln, Joan Heidbreder of Lincoln, Joyce Bailey of Lincoln and Gloria (and Richard) Craig of Beason; four grandchildren of Montesano, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

He was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School.
