The Lincoln Park District was a beehive
of activity Friday as fifth-graders from around the county rolled in
on buses to attend the 22nd annual Children's Health Fair. Students
moved from station to station and learned important facts about the
body, health, fitness and nutrition, as well as useful drugs that
would help keep them healthy now and in the future. They saw a
demonstration on safety -- things like how falling into a grain silo
could lead to suffocation.

More than 25 agencies
provided literature and demonstrations for this year's fair,
co-sponsored by the park district and the Logan County Health
Department. Many of the same agencies will be back and some others
for Saturday's Community Health Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (See
article.)
Special on Saturday: The Iowa Phantoms take on Abe's Babes in
Granny Basketball at 11 a.m.
