Warren E. Smith, 87, of Lincoln, died
Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. at The Christian Village
Nursing Home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert Henderson and the Rev.
Daniel Tuhy officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service,
from 9 to 11 a.m. |

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Mr. Smith
was a district sales manager for Pioneer seed for 31
years.
He was born Feb. 24, 1921, at Maroa to Lon and
Essie Eeten Smith. He married Lois Krause on Feb.
20, 1981, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one son,
Mike (and Cindy) Smith of Decatur; one stepson,
Randy (and Linda) Krause of Port Gamble, Wash.; one
stepdaughter, Lynde (and Bruce) Hays of Rochester;
seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in
death. He was the last of his immediate family.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and
attended Eastern Illinois University. |
Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice Health
Services of Springfield or the First Baptist Church
or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln
