[April 22, 2008]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Robert Alan Pope, 52, of Mount Pulaski, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 8:20 p.m. in rural Mount Pulaski.

Graveside services at Lake Bank Cemetery will be private, with Kristine Morgan in charge.

There is no visitation.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski handled arrangements.

Mr. Pope was an assembler at Caterpillar in Decatur and a retired farmer

He was born Jan. 5, 1956, in Decatur to John R. and Bonnie McKinley Pope. He married Susan Faith in Mount Pulaski on Aug. 7, 1976.

He is survived by his parents; his wife, of Mount Pulaski; two sons, Alex Pope and Adam Pope, both of Mount Pulaski; one brother, John David (and Gerri) Pope of Mount Pulaski; one sister, Rosalee Gay of Decatur; and a cousin, Nolan Pope of Madison, Wis.

He was a member of the Christian church.

Memorials may be made to the Robert Alan Pope Memorial Fund at the Farmers Bank in Mount Pulaski.
