Robert 'Bub' Coers

[April 28, 2008]  HARTSBURG -- Robert W. "Bub" Coers, 48, of Hartsburg, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 2:48 a.m. at his home.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden, with the Rev. David L. Hofer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mr. Coers was a farmer, a truck driver for Rohlfs Implement in Hartsburg and a mechanic for Wenninger Automotive in Morton.

He was born March 30, 1960, in Lincoln to Ralph F. and Mary A. Lynch Coers. He married Tina Schmidt on Sept. 9, 1983, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden.

He is survived by his wife, of Hartsburg; one son, Robert Christopher Coers of Hartsburg; one daughter, Nichole Marie Coers of Washington; his mother, of Hartsburg; and two brothers, Ralph (and Rhonda) Coers of Morton and Richard (and Shirley) Coers of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Emden, a Hartsburg-Emden school board member for 12 years and a member of the FFA Alumni.

Memorials may be made to Hartem FFA or Hartem English department.
