Marlene Leesman

[August 14, 2008]  McLEAN -- Marlene A. Leesman, 73, of McLean, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at 4:52 p.m. at Heartland Health Care Center in Normal.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McLean Christian Church, with Tony Billingsley officiating.

Visitation will be at the church from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the service time on Saturday.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leesman worked for Eaton Corp. in Lincoln for 42 years and later at the Dixie Travel Plaza in McLean.

She was born June 25, 1935, in Bloomington to John and Margaret See Kirby.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Kirby of McLean; two daughters, Pam Page of McLean and Kelly (and Rick) Mutters of Bloomington; one son, Steve (and Annette) Leesman of Minier; one sister, Niki Leach of McLean; three brothers, Ronnie (and Sue) Kirby of McLean, Lonnie Kirby of McLean and Maury (and Linda) Kirby of Heyworth; eight grandchildren, Michelle (and Kirk) Ruestman, Mandy Page, Lance Leesman, Luke Leesman, Logan Leesman, Lyndi Leesman, Melissa Mutters and Matthew Mutters; and four great-grandchildren, Brent Page, Dylan Ruestman, Haleigh Ruestman and Payton Ruestman.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother-in-law, Jerry Leach; and grandparent Ollie "Papa" See.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the McLean Christian Church and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1165.

She graduated from the McLean High School in 1953.

Memorials may be made to the McLean Ambulance Service, Olympia Progressive Baseball Association or the McLean Christian Church.
