Joyce Eimer

[December 01, 2008]  Joyce E. Eimer, 83, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at 7:15 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, following a prayer service at the funeral home at 3:45.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Jeff Laible officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Mauston, Wis., to Maynard and Erma C. Stetler Johnson. She married Ralph F. Eimer on Sept. 4, 1948, in Waukegan.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; two sons, Larry (and Connie) Eimer of Greenview and Steve (Donna) Eimer of Lincoln; two daughters, Nancy Eimer (and Tod Grober) of Oxford, Miss., and Lori (and Ron) Boyer of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Judy Schmidt, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Eimer was a member of Holy Family Church.

She was a welder for Fiat Allis during World War II, and she worked for GTE five years as a supervisor.

She was also a volunteer at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Director

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Holy Family Church or Carroll School.
