Regina Sabo

[December 01, 2008]  Regina T. Sabo, 94, of Lincoln, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at 2:35 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

A Mass of Christian burial for Miss Sabo will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Lincoln American Legion Post 263.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Sabo was a registered nurse.

She served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant during World War II. She was assigned to the 25th Hospital Train.

She was born Aug. 23, 1914, in East Chicago, Ind., to John and Anna Muha Sabo.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Sabo, Robert Sabo and Albert Sabo. She was the last of her immediate family.
