Shirley Curry

[December 22, 2008]  Shirley E. Curry, 65, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 7:02 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery, Mason City.

Miss Curry retired from the state of Illinois as a prison secretary.

She was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Peoria to Harold and Doris Williamson Curry.

She is survived by two brothers, Bruce (and Nellie) Curry of Sullivan and Albert (and Dorothy) Curry of Placitas, N.M.; one sister, Alberta (and Paul) Gray of Lincoln; and a special friend, Molly Buttell of Lincoln,

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln and a past state secretary and president of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Memorials may be made to the Eagles Diabetes Fund or American Diabetes Association.
