Pauline Chubb

[December 29, 2008]  Pauline E. Chubb, 80, of Lincoln died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at 9:20 a.m. at her home.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Bob Wilson and Craig Smith co-officiating.

Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Chubb retired in 1993 from the Mueller Co., where she worked as an order entry clerk.

She was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Litchfield to William and Mayme Cavinder Lambert. She married Maurice Hickman on Dec. 16, 1948, in Litchfield. She later married Robert Chubb, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1975.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Haak of Lincoln; one grandson, Brandon Creager of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and one brother, Edwin Upton of Independence, Kan.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Creager; one grandson, Chad Creager; one brother, Maynard Upton; and one sister, Betty Tabaka.

She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church.

She enjoyed bird-watching, especially cardinals, and loved to garden, knit, play cards and do crossword puzzles.

Memorials may be made to the family for her grandson's education.
