Willa M. McGown, 80, of Lincoln, died
Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at 3:10 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the First United
Methodist Church in Lincoln. Her funeral will follow at 7 p.m., with
the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating. |

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield,
at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mrs. McGown was a homemaker.
She was born May 9, 1927, in Springfield to John
P. and Helen Matthews Krell. She married Howard C.
McGown on Dec. 28, 1944, in Springfield. He preceded
her in death on July 25, 1991.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (and
Jerry) Trabue of Mason City and Jean E. (and James)
Lynn of Lincoln; one brother, J. Lloyd (and
Christine) Krell of Lady Lake, Fla.; two sisters,
Mary (and Joe) Vignos of Litchfield and Ruth E. (and
William) Kessler of Auburn; six grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First United Methodist
Church. |
