Danny Partin Sr.

[February 05, 2008]  Danny Clayton Partin Sr., 58, of Lincoln, died Jan. 31, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, with Bill Shanle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery, rural Lake Fork. There will be a military detail at the grave site.

Mr. Partin was employed as a truck driver for ADM in Decatur.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born June 23, 1949, in Decatur to Virgil and Mary Nelson Partin. He married Beverly Harris on July 18, 2007, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two sons, both currently serving in Iraq, Danny Clayborn Partin Jr. (and wife Margaret) of Tennessee and James Steven Partin, also of Tennessee; one grandson, Bradley Partin of Tennessee; five stepchildren, Vicki (and Kenneth) King of Lincoln, Cindy (and Frank) Adams of Simpson, Cathy Horn (and companion Kurt Priddy) of Springfield, Rhonda (and James) Forrester of Lincoln and James Harris Jr. (and Andrea) of Springfield; 14 stepgrandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and very special friends Bob Cunningham of Assumption and Mary, Dave and DJ Garner of Tovey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Logan County Animal Shelter in memory of Danny and in honor of Precious Partin.
