[February 05, 2008]  V. June Winkel Brown Segretto, 76, of Lincoln, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Zion Cemetery, with Chaplain Ryan Edgecombe officiating.

Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 26, 1931, in Lincoln to Ernest and Velna Easton Winkel. She married Salvatore "Sam" Segretto on Dec. 18, 1964.

She is survived by her husband; three children, Ernie Brown of Lincoln, Donna Brown Berry Covert of Los Angeles, Calif., and Crystal Fulk of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two brothers, Edgar Winkel and George Winkel, both of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mary Ellen Winkel, Eleanor Winkel Noble and Edna Winkel Noble.

Granddaughter Brandi Brown Fox of Lincoln was especially loving, caring and helpful to her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
