[February 10, 2008]  ARVADA, Colo. -- Linda Kay Root, 54, of Arvada, Colo., died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at 12:25 a.m. at the Hospice Care Center of Boulder in Lafayette, Colo. She was born and raised in Lincoln, Ill.

Aspen Mortuaries handled arrangements.

Mrs. Root was a homemaker.

She was a daughter of Charles and Leona Sherrer.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Donald Root Sr. of Arvada; her three children, Richard D. Root Jr. of Arvada, Rochelle Leigh Sherrod of Fayetteville, N.C., and Christina Ann Derr of Arvada; eight grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
