MIDDLETOWN -- Glenn J. Dambacher, 85,
of Middletown died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at 8:50 a.m. at his home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at
Middletown Methodist Church, with Rick Deters
officiating.
Burial will be in Irish Grove
Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
Mr. Dambacher was a mechanic, worked at Stetson
in Lincoln and retired from Caterpillar in 1984.
During World War II he served in the 104th
Timberwolf Division for almost three years.
He was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Shoals, Ind., to
Henry and Mary Johnson Dambacher. He married Mina
Boward on July 30, 1942, in Clayton, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, of Middletown; two
daughters, Glenna Dambacher of Middletown and
Marilyn (and Mike) Yuskus of Maryville; three
grandsons, Timothy (and Tam) Yuskus of Plainfield,
Jonathon Yuskus of St. Louis, Mo., and David Yuskus
of Maryville; one great-grandson, Andrew Yuskus of
Plainfield; and one sister, Velma (and Ralph) Brunk
of Virginia, Ill. |
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue
Miller; four brothers; and three sisters.
He was a member of Middletown United Methodist
Church, the National Timberwolf Association and a
member of Middletown American Legion 672 for over 60
years.
Memorials may be made to Middletown Methodist
Church, Middletown Stagecoach Inn or Middletown
American Legion 672.
