[February 13, 2008]  Lydia Bunting from Albion has decided to attend Lincoln Christian College and play volleyball. She signed a national letter of intent on Monday.

Bunting played for Edwards County High School, which finished in the Elite Eight in the state in 2006. She received all-Little Illini Conference awards her senior year as honorable mention.

This past year she attended Southern Illinois University but did not play volleyball.

She came to volleyball camp for three years in high school and that is where LCC was able to see her play. Her older sister Jessica also plays volleyball.

"She will be a great addition to the team because we have not been able to have a solid backup setter for a couple of years now. Lydia will play that role very well and will be able to get into some games later in the season once she gets the offense down," said LCC volleyball coach Jason Farr.
