Maryville Defeats Preachers and Angels

Preachers

The Lincoln Christian College Preachers were handed an 85-74 loss by Maryville University on Saturday to drop their season record to 7-17.

The Preachers' Jon Wallace led all scorers with 27 points and 19 rebounds. Matt Searby contributed 21 points and Landon Callahan added 12.

The Preachers will be playing the last home game of the season Wednesday against MacMurray College.

Angels

The Angels of Lincoln Christian College committed 45 turnovers in an 82-51 loss to Maryville University on Saturday.

The Angels were led in scoring by Jessica Blythe, who had 14 points and seven rebounds before fouling out of the game. Kim Kersey had nine points and Emma Hanford added eight.

The Angels were outrebounded 47-38.

The 2-23 Angels will be playing their last home game against MacMurray on Wednesday.
