Premier Junior High School Girls All Star Game

[January 08, 2008]  SPRINGFIELD -- Forty-two of the top junior high girls basketball players in the area will compete in the second annual Premier Basketball Junior High School All Star Game in Springfield. The event is scheduled for Sunday at Lanphier High School, located at 11th Street and North Grand Avenue in Springfield.

The game for seventh-grade girls tips off at 6:15 p.m., with a 3-point contest to take place at halftime. The eighth-graders hit the floor at 8 p.m., and their halftime festivities also include a 3-point contest.

The games are two of six all-star games hosted by Premier, which also include all-star games for high school players. All games this year will be at Lanphier.

Tickets will be available at the door on Sunday and are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
