[January 14, 2008]  ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Doug Weight tied the game with 28 seconds left in regulation, and Francois Beauchemin scored 33 seconds into overtime Sunday night to give the Anaheim Ducks a 4-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Capping the Ducks' comeback from a 3-1 deficit, defenseman Beauchemin scored his second goal of the season when he jumped into the play and one-timed a cross-ice pass from Todd Marchant between the pads of goalie Thomas Greiss.

After Anaheim pulled goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere for an extra attacker, Weight's 30-foot slapshot from outside the right circle got some help -- the puck bounced off Alexi Semenov's right skate and skidded past Greiss, who was making his NHL debut.

Giguere had 26 saves for the Ducks, who ended a 10-game road winning streak by San Jose. Greiss stopped 25 shots.

Todd Bertuzzi and Corey Perry had the other Anaheim goals. Jeremy Roenick had a goal and an assist for the Sharks, and Torrey Mitchell and Milan Michalek also scored for San Jose.

The 21-year-old Greiss, a German taken by San Jose as the 94th player chosen in the 2004 entry draft, got the start when Evgeni Nabokov finally got a night off. Nabokov had started all 43 of the Sharks' previous games this season.

Greiss was recalled from Worcester on Tuesday after posting a 12-10-1 record with a 3.03 goals-against average for the AHL team.

Perry closed the gap to 3-2 with his goal during a scramble in front of Greiss, poking the bouncing puck past the San Jose goalie at 16:55 of the second period for his 24th goal.

Michalek put the Sharks up 3-2 at 14:02 of the second. Joe Thornton set up the score from behind the Ducks' net when he yo-yoed the puck from right to left, back again, then slid it to Michalek, who poked it into the net as he fell forward past the goal line. The goal was Michalek's 15th, and Roenick got an assist.

Mitchell gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead with a short-handed goal at 15:23 of the opening period. Skating down the slot on a two-on-one break, Mitchell took a perfect pass from Mike Grier from the right circle and tapped the puck past Giguere for his ninth goal.

Bertuzzi had drawn Anaheim even with his eighth goal, at 8:58 of the first period. Bertuzzi, just outside the right post, slid the puck behind Greiss as the San Jose goalie tried futilely to get back into position after he was set up on the left post with the puck on that side.

Roenick had given the Sharks a quick lead on a power play. Patrick Marleau made a crisp backhanded pass from the right circle, and Roenick, in the crease, redirected the puck past Giguere to put San Jose up 1-0 just 2:11 into the game. The goal was Roenick's ninth.

Notes: Mitchell's short-handed goal was the second of his career and the fourth by the Sharks this season. ... Nabokov's 43 consecutive starts tied for the second longest streak by a goalie in the league since 1989-90. His career record against the Ducks is 17-14-3 with a 2.35 goals-against average in 36 games. ... Giguere, who was coming off his franchise record-tying 27th career shutout with 28 saves in a 5-0 win over Toronto on Wednesday, gave up two goals to the Sharks on their first four shots.
