Michael L. Robinson Sr., 61, Lincoln
died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at 10:20 a.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield. |

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home, with Ron Otto officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson retired from Saint-Gobain
manufacturing in 2006.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was born in Lincoln on May 29, 1946, to Harry
Edward and Virginia Ruth Logan Robinson. He married
Suzette Coombs on April 13, 1968, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years; two
children, Michael L. (and Stacy) Robinson Jr. of
Decatur and Melissa A. Birdwell of Lincoln; two
brothers, Steven E. (and Barb) Robinson of Lincoln
and David E. Robinson of Lincoln; two sisters,
Connie Robinson of Lincoln and Teresa (and Dennis)
Rekart of Lincoln; and four grandchildren, Kyle
Birdwell, Gaige Robinson, Kaylyn Hutchison and Tyler
Robinson. |
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of GMP Local 117.
He enjoyed bowling and race cars.
He graduated from Lincoln Community High School
in 1964.
