Marie Schaub, 80, of Lincoln died Thursday, Jan.
17, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield. |
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with
Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be
6-8 p.m. Sunday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral
Home and also one hour prior to the service at the
church. Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery,
New Holland.
Miss Schaub retired from Lincoln Developmental
Center after 35 years of service.
She was born June 17, 1927, in Mason City to
Richard and Emma Buse Schaub.
She is survived by her nephew and caretaker Bill
and wife Lori Schaub of Hartsburg; two brothers,
Henry (and Juanita) Schaub of Richland Center, Wis.,
and Wilbur (and Frances) Schaub of New Holland; one
sister, Emeline Schulte of Mason City; and several
other nieces and nephews.
Her sister Virginia preceded her in death.
She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church
in Lincoln, rarely missing a Sunday. |

She enjoyed her family and was a good friend to all.
She spent much of her time watching "Wheel of
Fortune" or "The Price is Right." Previously she
spent much of her time baking and playing dominoes
with her great-nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran
Church in Lincoln or the American Diabetes
Association.
