Charles Bracey

[January 20, 2008]  Charles M. Bracey, 81, of Lincoln, formerly of New Holland, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at 6:05 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Julie Azbell officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the service time.

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Mr. Bracey was retired from Caterpillar. He had worked at Morton and Delavan parts department.

He was born Jan. 25, 1926, in New Holland to John and Lena Chambers Bracey. He married Ruth Melvin on July 6, 1952, in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on May 12, 1997.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Schaub of Lincoln.

He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by two brothers, Smith and Ted Bracey, and two sisters, Mildred Osborn and Josephine Miller.

He was a member of New Holland Methodist Church and New Holland American Legion Post 715.

Memorials may be made to his church or to Alzheimer's disease research.
