Griffins Pull Away From Preachers

[January 21, 2008]  The Fontbonne University Griffins handed the Lincoln Christian College Preachers a defeat Saturday at Laughlin Center. The Preachers led throughout the first half and the score was tied at 60 with eight minutes and 25 seconds left in the game. From that point on the Griffins were able to outscore Lincoln 18-5 for a final margin of 78-65.

Jon Wallace led the Preachers with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Matt Searby had 13 points, and Alex Bond had nine points and 11 rebounds. Brian Fogerty led all scorers with 38 points while pulling in 11 rebounds.

Lincoln Christian now stands at 4-11 for the season. They will be in action again Monday at Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa.
