Shoot Winners Advance

After placing first at the
Lincoln Elks 914 Hoop Shoot contest, Grant Cooper and Bryson Kirby
advanced to the district level of competition, representing Lincoln
in Jacksonville on Saturday.

Grant, a sixth-grader at LJHS, placed first in the 10-11 age group.
He is the son of Bill and DeAnn Cooper. Bryson, a third-grader at
Washington-Monroe, placed second in the 8-9 age group. He is the son
of Scott and Tammy Kirby.
Cooper advances to the state competition in Decatur on Feb. 16.
